A Step-by-step Guide to Ship Your Car

Many people see vehicle shipping as a complicated process, but we can help. Shipping involves a sequence of actions that you need to perform if you want to get your vehicle delivered on time.

EasyHaul can help you ship cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles across the US and internationally. To make vehicle shipping easier, we’ve created a step-by-step shipping guide to help you through the process.

Get a shipping quote

With EasyHaul, you can get a quote online before placing an order. Just use our online shipping calculator. Enter your vehicle’s VIN and the destination address to calculate your guaranteed quote.

If you see a message telling you that your destination requires a custom quote, contact our support office and they will get a quote for you.

Place your order

To order shipping with EasyHaul, you’ll need to register. Make sure you enter your contact and billing information and verify your phone number to get real-time shipping updates about the status of your shipping order.

To place your shipping order, just provide us with all your delivery details. This includes the lot and buyer numbers if you’re shipping a vehicle from auction, the last six digits of the vehicle’s VIN, a pick-up and delivery location, and contact information for the vehicle’s recipient.

Upload all the documents

To ship your vehicle as soon as possible, you’ll need to upload your vehicle’s Bill of Sale and a valid Title or Certificate. Note that no Bill of Sale, Parts Only designation, or Lien can replace the vehicle’s Title or Certificate.

After we receive those documents, you can submit payment, and we’ll find a driver for your domestic shipping.

For international shipping, make sure you have all the ownership documents as well as a copy of your passport and consignee information.

Get insurance

Another important detail when you ship a vehicle is insurance. There is land cargo insurance for domestic shipping, and marine cargo insurance for international shipping.

For domestic shipping, we contract with licensed carriers only and every driver is bonded and insured. If you ship internationally, we can help to get insurance too. Depending on the insurance coverage, you can get compensation for scrapes, dents, piracy, and other issues that may arise during transit.
